Report: Free Speech Improving on Campus, but 88% of Schools Still Restrict in Some Way

The study categorized institutions by red light, yellow light, green light or warning based off of the university’s policies on “free speech zones,” internet access, tolerance, harassment, respect and civility, hate speech, obscenity and security fees. And while several schools are improving, 88% were found to be restrictive in some way.

Supreme Court: Government Can Be Sued for Money Damages When Religious Liberty Is Violated

The Supreme Court unanimously voted this week in favor of a case that could have a lasting positive impact for the church and various faith communities. They ruled that the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act allows for lawsuits seeking monetary damages when the federal government violates a person’s religious liberty.
